There's No Trouble After This: Bradley Spalter

If we remembered anything from the 2003 Lady of Soul Awards we remembered the iconic performance that 3LW showcased when debuting their then first single "After This" for then titled LP 'Phoenix Rising'. This performance was their last/first televised performance with new member Jessica Benson.

Team 3LW Army recently caught up with Bradley Spalter a Grammy Award winning producer who worked with 3LW on their unreleased trac and many more different artists. Team 3LW Army asked him a few question on the process and experience with working with 3LW.

3LWARMY: How did you meet the girls?

Bradley: I met the girls thru my management team at the time.

3LWARMY: What are the tracks you worked on with the girls?

Bradley: I worked on "Trouble" and "After This"...

3LWARMY: What was the process and what album were you working on with them?

Bradley: Well... The process was quite simple they came to my studio having learning the songs prior and they came in and knocked out the vocals like pros, and I believe they were on Jive if I recall.

3LWARMY: What was your favorite track you recorded with them? Were there any any other tracks intended for them?

Bradley: That's a toss up. Something about trouble that I just adored but after this was a definite banger. For the club. Hot record! Single was all over that record.

3LWARMY: What direction were they going into?

Bradley: I believe they were heading into the cross over mainstream at that time. That record would have made them a household name in my humble opinion. 3LWARMY: What was the inspiration for those tracks?

Bradley: Those tracks were inspired by the times. We were going for a Beyoncé crazy vibe on After This and Trouble was inspired by TLC from the 90’s. We were trying to bring back what we thought at the time was missing from the marketplace.

3LW Army: What was 3LW like into the studio?

Bradley: A lot of fun. They were having fun and they were super easy to work with. They are great listeners and follow direction.

3LWARMY: Looking back at 2003, How did you feel when the preformed "After This"?

Bradley: To be honest I never saw them perform that track. Nobody even told me they were going to be performing that track on there or I most certainly would have watched it. I just missed watching that. 3LWARMY: What other artist's have you collaborated with?

Bradley: I have collaborated with Babyface, Gladys Knight, O-Town, Christina Milan , The Pussy Cat Dolls, Mya, and many more. 3LWARMY: What are you currently doing now?

Bradley:I have a baby girl who is 4 now. Well I've been on a long break from the music industry but looking to get back into it soon. Open to opportunities...

3LWARMY: Wow... thank you so much. What would you tell the fans who've been wanting to get into the music industry?

Bradley: If your just coming into the music industry of course ready and your skills are ready I believe the most important advice I can give is have the Right representation. Not only does the team you put in place must have to have the credentials but also they must be transparent and trustworthy for the whole operation to work. Remember your only as good as your weakest link so always use proper judgement when making decisions of this nature. That‘s really is the hardest part in my opinion. A lot of this business is timing and luck so always be prepared and make sure your likable and trustworthy yourself. Keys to success ! Remember this is a people business...

Bradley Spalter has been silently awaiting his comeback to the music industry and has recently released a single as a solo artist which is a lot different then being a producer, he mentioned that he has been working on a album. You can check out his track "Synchronize" here
